Attachments

Overview

Users can attach files to the records of most ServicePRO objects when creating or updating them. The maximum file sizes for attachments can be set by the Administrator; by default this limit is 5MB.

Users can attach files to the following objects:

  • Requests
  • Users
  • Companies
  • Organizational Unit
  • Assets
  • Purchase Orders
  • Categories
  • Best Solutions

Add or Remove an Attachment

Add Attachments

  1. In the Service Request Ribbon Toolbar, click the Attach File icon (paperclip).
  2. Select Attach File(s) to browse and navigate for a file.
  3. Select the file and click Open.
  4. If applicable, enter additional details about the attachment in the Description box. This information will be shown along with attachments when Attachment details are viewed from any other object type.
  5. Click OK when finished and click Save on the request to save the attachment. Attached items are shown in the Documents tab when a User views an object's details.

Remove Attachments

To remove an attachment, click Remove File(s).
